Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. Resumes contain personal information, so we keep the scope narrow.

What we store

• Account data: email address, name and authentication records.
• Documents you create or upload: resumes, job descriptions, cover letters, exports.
• Subscription records: plan status, trial dates and payment provider identifiers.
• Operational logs used to diagnose errors. We do not log passwords or card details.

Who can see your documents

Only your account. Documents are stored privately and access rules are enforced on the server; uploaded files are not publicly reachable.

AI processing

Resume and job description text you submit is sent to our AI provider to produce audits, rewrites and cover letters. Do not include information you are not comfortable processing this way.

Payments

Card details are handled by our payment provider. We never receive or store full card numbers.

Cookies and optional tracking

Your browser stores cookie preferences and a consent history, including the choice, time, random visitor reference and notice version and text shown. Essential cookies support sign-in and security. Google Analytics (Google) uses optional cookies and public page visits to measure website traffic. When both Analytics and Marketing are accepted, Google Ads measures clicks on trial sign-up buttons with a conversion value of USD 1.00; this is not proof of a completed trial purchase. When Marketing is accepted, HubSpot (HubSpot, Inc.) loads on public pages only and uses cookies to recognise returning visitors and measure email and marketing visits; it never loads on account pages or sees your documents. Google Tag Manager is disabled to avoid duplicate reporting. Google and HubSpot can receive browser and device information, page addresses and your IP address. Our page-view reporting excludes private account pages, query strings (except email campaign tags such as utm_source) and document content.

Optional tracking stays off until you explicitly accept analytics and honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Analytics and marketing are separate choices. Advertising requires both choices. This installation does not add Meta tracking, customer matching, email addresses, form fields or offline conversion uploads. You can reject optional cookies or withdraw your choice at any time below; withdrawal reloads the page to stop previously loaded tags. Existing consent evidence remains in your browser unless you clear browser storage. Consent choices apply on this browser, not across devices. Ad clicks and impressions can still be counted by advertising platforms without website tracking.

Uploads and security

Only signed-in users can upload, and only PDF or DOCX files up to 5MB are accepted. Each file is checked for its real type before processing. Files live in private, encrypted storage and are reachable only through download links that expire after 15 minutes. Original uploads are processed in memory and not kept; generated files are purged after 24 hours.

No AI training

We never use your uploaded resume or personal data to train AI models.

Deletion

You can delete individual documents at any time. "Delete Account & Data" in Settings immediately and permanently wipes your profile, documents, usage records and stored files. Billing records may be retained where required for accounting and legal obligations.

Automated generator, not a storage service

Resumegrid is an automated resume builder and generator. It is not a permanent document storage or archival system. Uploaded source files are processed in memory and are not retained; generated download files are purged automatically 24 hours after creation. Keep your own copies of anything you need.

"As-Is" and "As-Available"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or the accuracy, completeness or results of any score, audit or generated content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resumegrid and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities, employment, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim.

User indemnification

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload and process every file and piece of information you submit. You agree to indemnify and hold Resumegrid harmless from any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your content or your use of the service.
